The "Billy Joe" part of our farm name is a tribute to my wonderful father in law who passed away from pancreatic cancer. He was a Southern gentleman, through and through. Although he was the son of a sharecropper, worked hard on the farm as a kid and swore he wouldn't grow up to be a farmer, he loved what we are doing on our homestead.
In his younger days, Billy Joe was a disc jokey, and today I was sent this song...it was the theme song for the opening of his radio show. RIP, Billy Joe, you were a great man.
