Anyway, I checked on the bunnies, and Holly was being her cute little self running around. I opened up the nest, to find three healthy, fat, little kits. Yippee! Holly is such a good first-time mom! Usually first litters are a total loss, but this little momma bunny is very determined to keep her babies safe and healthy. I am also excited to see what they turn out to look like. They are all spotted or "broken". One is white/black, one is white/dark grey, and the other one is white/light grey. They are all adorable. Two of them especially are super sweeeeet though. I know they are so little and it sounds silly to say that, but I will pet them on their little foreheads and they just stop moving. They put their little heads on the ground and just pause. It is the cutest thing! I am so happy to see them doing so well! I am sorry I did not put photos up yesterday, weebly was (and still is) giving me a hard time. I suppose I will try again tomorrow.
It is SO windy out here today! It was blowing old feed bags around and even blew all the hay away from the entrance to the barn! We let the animals out today only to find that there was a drowning worm in the goats water. So, Caroline picked it up and "saved" it, which she is very proud of. She kept walking around saying "I saved a life today!". :)

According to my Dad, the kits are all well. I will have to take pictures in a minute, not yet prepared to go out and hear all the animals screaming for their beloved food. So, once we do that, I will take pictures of the bunnies and hopefully have them uploaded on here as soon as I can. Keep checking back!
Finally! We have 3 baby bunnies! She had 6, but unfortunately 3 were still hooked on to mama and froze. I am still happy that we have 3 live ones though! She built a little nest, and did pull *enough* fur to keep them warm. Pictures will come soon, but I would like to keep them as undisturbed as possible, so they will come when they are a bit bigger. Anyway, I am super dooper happy about the live ones, and also upset about the 3 that did not make it.
R.I.P Little Bunnies Certainly not anything fancy, at all. It is just about our rabbits and what is going on with them. The site's name is... well, http://401675690950695698.weebly.com/index.html. It does not really have a name, because you have to pay about 30 bucks just for a domain name, but it actually does work. It is secondary to this site, it just has numbers for a name. Don't judge a book by it's cover! ;)
Here is another link to it Feel free to visit and ask questions, or just check every once in awhile for news!, Grace My mom has been offered to blog for Mother Earth News, which is awesome! I am really happy for her, and I KNOW she is happy! She now has her biography up and has her first post up too.
Go here to see the biography Go here to see the post Congratulations Mom, I love you! Grace Holly is now more giant then ever, so I am really just trying to be patient now. She just lies around all day and her stomach makes these weird noises, then she gets up and runs around. I don't know what is going on with her. I really do want her kits AND her to be fine though, and I am sure I just worry too much. Still have not yet gone to do morning chores, so hopefully I will have babies to write about when I come back. I know this is the only thing I have been talking about for the last few posts, but that is all that is on my mind right now! Trust me, once the pictures (of the kits) get here it won't be so bad! Bear with me!
Holly has not kindled. Hopefully tonight. She is sitting around being the same miserable (and round) self. We finished the bunny room though, which is AWESOME news because I have been waiting and waiting for that to be done. I know this might sound funny/ridiculous, but maybe now that she has more room she will build another nest. The one she made yesterday fell apart, so I'm REALLY hoping those instincts kick in once again and she gets going on another nest! So much waiting and reading, I would be SOOOOOOO disappointed if something bad happened to her or the kits. Anyway, updates to come in the morning, so keep checking back!
Oh wowie. I went outside to check on Holly, no babies. So I just figured I would let her out to run around, when she decided to take a flop on the ground and relax. Nothing special. Then, she went in between the barn wall and a straw bale, and started going crazy and almost knocking over the straw bale. Weird.. I thought. Then she came around and started stuffing her face full of straw. That is when I was absolutely positive she was pregnant, but not only that, was close to having her babies. She cannot have her nest there, because it is really unsafe for her and the kits, so we put her in her hutch, where she went at it again. I really do expect to have a few more bunnies by midnight!!! Keep checking in
I have been checking Holly every 45 minutes, nothing, nothing, nothing. Today would be her earliest due date, so hopefully we will have babies tonight, tomorrow, or Monday. I believe I saw little kits kicking today, and she was twitching a lot, so hopefully I will be posting about new kits soon!
