Well, that was what I did today. Don't worry, nothing super exciting... Just a box, but they were delicious if I do say so myself! The blueberries were not very impressive though. I all the sudden wanted either pancakes or blueberry muffins, and I chose... MUFFINS (obviously...)!!!: A tad bit overdone, but I did not care. Anyway, that is what I made today. Have a great week!,
Grace This is really THE BEST rabbit site I have found, and trust me, I have been reading a lot about these fluffy little things... If you own a rabbit, I GREATLY recommend this site, I just can't get over how helpful it has been. If you post something on there, the lady will most likely respond, instead of having to look up something like crazy.
Hope someone finds this helpful, just like me, Grace Well, we have a friend (Sue) that had a bunch of milk crates, so I figured instead of building one out of wood (which could get soaked in pee by the way...), I could use one of those. So, I (Yes, by myself! Hehe...) tied netting onto it with straw bale string things, because there are kit-sized holes in milk crates, and then filled it with a wonderful blend of nest-making materials. Straw at the bottom, wood chips in the middle, and of course, hay on the top... Ahhhhh, lovely. I hope she can fit... otherwise, NEW IDEA! Well, we will see if Holly has done anything to it besides using it as her toilet tomorrow. Oh, and I am sorry I have no pictures of it, but I might be able to post some tomorrow of the nest (if she made one), otherwise I will take it out and get pics.
Thanks!, Grace I have edited the French Lop Rabbits page so that now it has a 3 page thing about French Lops. It took me awhile to come up with it all, but thankfully, it has sections so you can read whatever you would like about them. I really hope it helps someone with something! Even if you do not have bunnies yet, feel free to read it! Comment about it right on this post, because there isn't a comment form on that page.
5 DAYS UNTIL HOLLY'S DUE DATE!!! Keep visiting! Hello, it is Grace. Well, like I said in my last post, the bunny hutches are yet to be done. One of them is started though. We need more pallets, wood, hinges, wheels (maybe), and we also need to make the nesting box. Holly is now three weeks pregnant (if she is pregnant) and is due in about a week. YAY!!! I am fairly sure she is preggers though, because she is looking round when she lies down. A friend of ours had a pregnant bunny that was MUCH rounder than Holly, but has the same round while lying down look as Holly. I cannot wait to have kits, and I am an anxious little bunny owner! I have started my "Bunny Care Sheet" to hand out when or if we end up selling bunnies. I cannot count on having bunnies to sell, because this is her first litter, and I do not know if she will raise them well or not. They will be purebred though, so if we do have them for sale I am hoping they will find good homes. Here is part of my Bunny Care Sheet (It is more than one page long, so I could only have a little bit of it showing):
Lots of things happened today, but I will be talking about our new little friend for now. We decided that it had been awhile since the last "look-around", so we got in the Mule and drove out into the field, expecting to just take a ride. Then, as we were driving down the street, we saw a little kitty standing there, looking at us. So we all hopped out of the Mule and walked over to him, although he seemed kind of skiddish. So my mom (being the EXTREME cat lover that she is...) sat down and did her cat magic, all the little kitty calls and things like that. After about 5 minutes he walked over and started being crazy sweet, and so we tried to get him to follow us home while my mom drove the mule back. I figured he wasn't going to, so I picked him up. After we got about 200 ft. down the field, he started to get kind of annoyed, so I let him go and set him down, thinking that he would stay there for at least a little bit. He decided to walk all the way to where we started, so I told Caroline to go get Mom, while I followed him and watched where he was going. After a while my Mom and Caroline came with a crate and a can of wet food, and we caught him. Once we brought him home we let him get used to the place for awhile and then let him go into the shop. So, now he is going to spend the night in there. Here are some pictures (Isn't he pretty?):
Phew. There are so many things that need to be done around here. Some not as "urgent" as others, but there is certainly a lot floating around in my mind. You know those scenes in movies where everyone's heads are spinning around and yelling all at one time when someone is dreaming? Well, that is what it is like, except with animal's heads instead. My bunny's due date is in 11 days, and their places to live (besides the cages they are in now...) are not even started. Alice and Betty do not really like Hazel, so she needs a seperate place to stay, and to add to the list, the guineas will NOT ever be quiet, and their fence is not finished. But, It will work out fine. Although, I am really sorry, but I will probably not be posting as much as usual. I will probably post every other day, so not that bad. BUT, the good side of all of this is that everyday I get more excited for my bunny, so there you have it.
